    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our Dryer Bay team. This role involves hands-on welding and physical labor in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Applicants must pass a weld test as part of the hiring process.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform welding using Stick and MIG processes

    • Work primarily with flux core wire

    • Read and interpret blueprints/ prints accurately,

    • Measure materials using a tape measure with precision

    • Complete assigned tasks independently and efficiently

    • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals

    • Perform physical labor including swinging hammers and lifting 50+ lbs.

    • Herman Grant Company expects you to be reliable and punctual in reporting for scheduled work.


    Required Qualifications:

    • 2-3 years Stick and MIG welding experience

    • Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screen

    • Basic blueprints/ prints reading skills

    • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately

    • Strong work ethic and reliability

    • Ability to work well with others in a team environment while also handling tasks independently


    Important Scheduling Note:

    • Due to peak production season, there is a blackout period for vacation from November through April.

    • HOURS: 6-2:30, M-F with M-S during peak seasons


    Salary and Benefits:

    • Non-exempt, Hourly, range based on experience

    • Overtime accrued after 40hr work week

    • Health, Dental after 90-day probationary period

    • 401K available after first year

    • Paid holidays
